I’m Sedar M. Jones, an ISSA-certified personal trainer and the founder of Functional-Fit Triad. For
more than 20 years, disciplined movement and performance training have shaped both my career
and my life. From competitive athletics to lifelong strength training and martial arts, I’ve seen
firsthand how structured, intelligent training transforms more than just the body—it builds
confidence, resilience, and long-term health.
Fitness isn’t a quick fix. It’s a skillset. And like any skill, it can be developed with the right guidance
and consistency.
My Approach to Functional Fitness
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all programs. Every person I work with brings a different history,
different goals, and different physical considerations. That’s why my coaching is built around
functional fitness training—developing strength, mobility, endurance, and body awareness that
translate directly into real-world performance.

Martial Arts & Movement Philosophy
I am also a 4th-degree black belt with over two decades of martial arts experience across multiple
disciplines. Martial arts shaped my understanding of balance, coordination, controlled power,
recovery, and discipline. Those principles directly influence how I coach today.
