I’m Sedar M. Jones, an ISSA-certified personal trainer and the founder of Functional-Fit Triad. Fitness and disciplined movement have been central to my life for more than two decades. From competitive athletics to lifelong strength training and martial arts, I’ve experienced firsthand how proper movement, consistency, and mental focus can transform not only the body, but confidence, resilience, and overall quality of life. 


I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all fitness. Every client comes with a unique history, goals, and physical considerations. My coaching philosophy centers on functional fitness training—building strength, mobility, endurance, and body awareness that directly carry over into real-world movement and everyday performance. Whether your goal is to move without pain, regain strength, improve athletic ability, enhance tactical readiness, or simply feel better in your body, my programs are designed to meet you where you are and progress you safely forward. 

Credentials & Professional Focus 

I hold multiple professional certifications that allow me to take a comprehensive, results-driven approach to training. I am a Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Exercise Recovery Specialist, Strength & Conditioning Coach, Certified Tactical Conditioning Specialist, and Nutrition Coach. These credentials enable me to design programs that not only build strength and conditioning, but also address movement limitations, recovery needs, injury prevention, and long-term sustainability. My focus is intelligent training—helping clients build strong, capable bodies that perform well for life, not just for the moment. 


I am also a 4th degree black belt with over 20 years of experience across multiple martial arts disciplines. Martial arts shaped my understanding of movement efficiency, balance, coordination, discipline, and recovery—principles that strongly influence how I coach today. This background allows me to blend athletic performance, functional strength, and controlled movement into training that is both purposeful and sustainable. 

As a coach, I see myself as more than a trainer—I’m a partner in your journey. I prioritize proper movement patterns, education, accountability, and structured progression so clients don’t just see results, but understand how to maintain them. Training with me means purposeful programming, realistic expectations, and consistent support.
